A cozy cabin nestled amongst the trees, overlooking the ocean. Fall asleep listening to the ocean sounds below, and wake up with a fresh morning ocean breeze. This cozy cabin is the perfect getaway for a couple. The property is heavily treed and the cabin is nested amongst the trees at the water’s edge. You can literally see small crabs and other sea life at high tide below the deck. It is a haven for bird lovers and has a wonderful view of the Harbour and the occasional boat passing by. Access to the beach is via a short trail to a launch area for kayaks or canoes.
The bright and cheery cabin is self-contained with a kitchen that includes microwave, counter-top oven, two burner propane cook top and full size fridge. There is hot and cold running water, and a three piece bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. A new woodstove will allow for year round use and keep you cozy on the coldest days.
The queen size bed offers a view of the ocean located right in the ‘front yard’. There are many windows to enjoy the view and there is a nice deck with a barbeque and a covered eating area overlooking the water.
Access to the beach is via a short trail to a launch area for kayaks or canoes. The access is onto the protected waters of Gorge Harbour, with a community dock nearby for larger boats. It is a short walk to the store and marina, where you can purchase all basic supplies, car & boat fuel, and post letters. There is a restaurant at the marina, with wifi, outdoor pool, and year-round hot tub. It is a slightly longer walk to historic Whaletown.

|“Great location, cool and shady in the trees, but nice afternoon/evening sun. Kitchen well appointed. Great fun watching the boats come and go. We spent the mornings painting and writing on the deck, then went out exploring in the afternoons.” VM, June 2015.|
“My husband and I spent a relaxing week at Water’s Edge; the cottage is bright and comfortable with all necessities thoughtfully supplied. The outside deck is spacious, lightly shaded for hot days and provides an excellent spot to enjoy the variety of pleasure craft visiting the harbour. Kayaks easily launched from the path to the beach for leisurely paddles. Good value.”AMB
“Water’s Edge is an excellent cottage for two. It’s central location is a great place from which to explore Cortes Island. The deck and view are outstanding. Every detail has been thought of to make your stay stress-free. We will definitely be back!”Kelly
“My wife and I had an absolutely great time at this cabin, it was peaceful and so relaxing. We really lucked out with the weather, it was sunbathing on the deck every day, just hated to leave, but we hope to be back again in the near future.”Bernie
“Water’s Edge was a pleasant place to spend an autumn week for us. We enjoyed the cleanliness and the provision of necessities such as towels, TP, plastic wrap etc. Everything was well cared for, if rustic, and the location was excellent for our purposes.. We spent many hours each day kayaking and were able to set out right from the beach below. The cooking facilities were fine and I appreciated the good quality pots. We had a really good time and were very satisfied with our experience.”Alice
“We have stayed here on a couple of other occasions so we knew what to expect. Nice little cabin, has everything you would need to get by.”Bernie
